Just a Cherry On Top
The peer mentor is a great idea. He or she is the glue in that binds the class together. Our peer mentor Kaitlyn is great to go to for advice with school, not that the teacher isn't a bad option, because she was going through the same struggles just a few years ago. You don't have to be afraid to say somethings to her like you would a teacher because she's not an adult. She does good things every thursday, when we have "Kaitlyn Time", wether it be updating us on events around school or discussing issues with current projects, inside or outside of our Inquiry class. In doing this she has kept me and, I assume, my classmates pretty optimistic about school. She always has a smile on her face and is so active and happy to be into whatever the subject of the class is. There is nothing negative I can say about having a peer mentor around its all just a bonus to the class. So to whoever's idea it was to get this peer mentor group involved... kudos.
